Welcome to Frontier Medical College

Frontier Medical College is a medical education institution and is one of the many medical schools affiliated with Bahria University. Frontier Medical College is located in Abbottabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan. It was established in 1995 on about 200 kanals of land at the foot of a cedar forest on the rural outskirts of Abbottabad on the Karakoram main road from Islamabad to the Chinese border and to the Central Asian states. Frontier Medical and Dental College (FMC) and Shahina Jameel Hospital are major national institutions that have gained worldwide acclaim in a very short time. 

Frontier Medical and Dental College is a self-financing institution. Frontier Medical College is housed in spacious buildings designed for the purpose and has a well-educated and experienced faculty, well-equipped laboratories and museums with a wide range of educational patterns and models. The college offers Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degrees after completing 5 years of medical training. In addition, there are nursing and many paramedical courses. There are about 700 students in FMC's MBBS and BDS programs. 

The college has two teaching hospitals. It has its own teaching hospital on the campus of a college called Shahina Jameel Hospital. It is a new general hospital with 350 beds. It has doctors, nurses and paramedical staff. It provides medical training to senior medical students, and provides free medical care to all deserving patients. Dental students are also trained here. The second hospital is the Government King Abdullah Teaching Hospital in Mansehra. It is a very busy general hospital with 360 beds. It has been obtained from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for the education and training of medical students. The college, in collaboration with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, had built a new 136-bed block in the hospital called Frontier Medical College Block.  Call us or send us an email to get admission information.
